Why I Write in Quora Platform

Back then I was in the pre-final year of my UG. My college was so strict that we were not allowed to use mobile phones inside our hostels. Only laptops were permitted. Believe me, we also had a restricted internet connection with timing slots typically around some 2 hours! Also, most of the websites were blocked by our college organization that we don't have access to even the Message section of Youtube or the ‘Hangouts’ of Gmail.

The only possible way we kept us engaged was through the daily newspapers, romantic novels ;) ..and yes the list got extended with Quora too!! For a long time, for around 2 to 3 months of my existence in Quora, I was just a spectator here. And, when I found an A2A on my feed regarding Madurai, I cannot hold myself back that I started drafting my answer. Till now, this continues. Whenever my eyes grab any question relating to my hometown and if I knew the appropriate a convincing answer to it, I write it off.

That’s how my journey on Quora started.

Why do I write on Quora?

• As clear from my college history, the internet didn’t bother me neither did social media!
• I can very well survive without smartphones and Whatsapp/IG or whatever. Am not even active in any of these social platforms. In fact, I don't even own a Whatsapp account. Poor me!
• The only way I get connected to people is through Quora.
• And that too in a healthy mode of sharing ideas with wise people here. All the Quorans here, help me in gaining the best possible info.
• I learn new and when I write on a topic, I get even more sound on that particular content.
• Quora helps to gain content on areas like politics, which I was zero at it few months back.
• I have found my best buddy here with whom I spend my quality time. I literally learn a lot from them. Am I right guys?

So, I am here on Quora to grab stuff from wise minds. Call it being selfish, I call it self-improvement.
